Jonas Richiardi

Jonas Richiardi received his Ph.D. degree in biometric signal processing and pattern recognition from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne (EPFL), Signal Processing Institute, in 2007. During his time at EPFL, he was part-funded by a Swiss National Science Foundation project on the application of biometrics to identity documents, as well as by a private foundation project on multimodal biometrics for identity documents. He is also one of the Swiss management committee members in the European research project "Biometrics for identity documents and smart cards".

In 2008, he co-founded the information engineering consultancy PatternLab, which carries out research and development mandates for industry.
